The Position:

The position reports to the Director of Student Services & Advising. The Administrator will assist students and participate in the administration of office programs and projects.

  • Prepare materials for law school exams and participate in administration
  • Manage office involvement in student health insurance program
  • Interact with students and assist them in resolving problems
  • Work with student groups and leaders
  • Administer events program
  • Assist in developing and implementing student programming
  • Review periodicals and mailings to identify relevant information for Dean, Director and students
  • Process course evaluations and other surveys
  • Update student guides, office materials and maintain office websites and databases
  • Assist directors of all departments within the Division of Student Affairs, including Office of Student Service & Advising, Office of Diversity & Inclusion, and Academic Support
  • Develop resources for students
  • Assist in preparation of ABA and NALP statistics
  • Manage scheduling for the office
  • Handle other tasks as designated by supervisor


Experience and Educational Background: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Relevant experience and/or demonstrated interest in administrative work and higher education student populations required

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required
  • Outstanding attention to detail and superior organizational skills required
  • Ability to engender enthusiasm and make students feel comfortable and welcome
  • Outstanding computer skills, including fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), comfort with database usage, and ability to learn additional applications as needed
