POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day-to-day operations for associate degree programs
  • Identify, recruit, and lead a sustainable, practitioner-based faculty
  • Lead ongoing curriculum and faculty evaluation and development – ensuring both curriculum and instruction are informed by industry as well as best practices in undergraduate, developmental, and experiential education
  • Coordinate program marketing, outreach, and recruitment efforts with the University’s marketing and admissions departments – may include some travel
  • Manage ongoing application review and approval
  • Organize online and off-line events and activities to recruit students and raise the program’s visibility
  • Connect the program and students to industry
  • Supervise dedicated student advisement efforts for associate programs
  • Manage requirements and relationships with accrediting bodies and internal partners
  • Prepare reports for senior leadership, including reports on: enrollment; student and faculty analytics; course and program assessment; financial performance
  • Identify and initiate new programs and curricular innovations

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in related field required; doctorate preferred. 
  • Educational and/or teaching background in college writing/literacy or mathematics education a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in developing and managing self-supported academic programs. Professional experience in relevant industry and/or leadership experience in a community college setting a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting, leading and developing full-time and adjunct faculty. 
  • Track record of teaching excellence, including deep and demonstrated expertise utilizing evidence-based pedagogies and project-based curriculum at the associate degree level.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and develop effective curriculum for students with different abilities, levels of preparation, and cultural experiences.
