The Position

The Graduate Enrollment Management team at Yeshiva University is charged with attracting, selecting, and matriculating a high caliber of diverse students into Yeshiva’s graduate programs. Reporting to the Executive Director of Graduate Enrollment Management, we seek an experienced Director to play a critical role in growing and evolving the enrollment management strategy at Yeshiva.


The Director, will be responsible for extending Yeshiva’s international reach to an increasingly talented and diverse student population. S/he leads in the creation and implementation of international recruitment efforts via event planning, information sessions and alumni engagement, intended to cultivate and matriculate each incoming class. S/he will strategically lead efforts to produce key feeder international institutions, as well as organizations, for promising talent and implement a recruiting strategy that increases international enrollment for graduate programs at Yeshiva.


The Director, also serves as a member of the Admissions Committee, will work with program directors to ensure effective evaluation of applications, interviews (if applicable) and recommendations for admissions decisions. Additionally, the Director is responsible for providing insight and guidance on selection, scholarships and yield, as well as coordinating and assessing key international admissions criteria to develop an effective recruiting plan. Travel is required along with evening and weekend hours.


The Director will be responsible for creating statistical reports, modeling and projecting application volume within recruitment territories in collaboration with the Executive Director. The Director will be responsible for knowledge of the admission database system, data management and extraction for reporting.


  • Strategic, tactical and operational planning and participation in international recruitment trips and activities to support the enrollment objectives for the Office of Graduate Enrollment Management including:
    • Relevant graduate fairs, forums, professional conferences, workshops, seminars and meetings
    • Lead the outreach and implementation of academic agreements and identifying new academic agreements in collaboration with Yeshiva University leadership, faculty and staff
    • Research and establish feeder organizations that support successful international enrollment for key programs
  • Lead opportunities to build the Yeshiva brand internationally as one of the preeminent graduate and professional places to study in the nation
  • Research country graduate trends; identify target markets and recruiting venues and channels
  • Develop appropriate measurements to ensure effectiveness of international recruiting activities and success of agreements as a recruitment tool
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager to oversee the operations of the admissions process, ensuring excellence in organization and communication of admissions policies
  • Cultivate relationships and collaborate with other academic units at the university, college and department levels to maintain effective reporting capability



Experience and Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and five or more years of professional experience working in higher education admissions or a competitive sales/marketing environment required
  • Master’s Degree in a relevant or related field; and/or additional work experience beyond five year minimum preferred
  • Professional experience in the higher education and/or admissions and recruitment context is strongly preferred but not required
  • Fluent in more than one language, Mandarin is preferred
  • Experience with CRMs and other related technologies

Skills and Competencies

  • Experience with quantitative, market-based approach to planning international recruitment activities
  • Experience developing new tools for capturing and evaluating data, and the ability to effectively communicate data analysis results to a diverse audience   
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • The successful candidate will have good analytical skills in data management; a thorough understanding of how to gather, codify and analyze data to create reports to inform decision-making
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and discretion
  • Demonstrated track record of taking initiative, being proactive, and remaining flexible and resilient
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal skills, preferably in the context of working with international student populations 
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and multi-task in a high-paced team environment and meet deadlines
