    The Position:

    To perform this job successfully, this paid intern must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  These duties include, but are not limited to scheduling interviews, formatting and posting job descriptions, managing job applications, collecting data for use and analysis as well as on-going and ad hoc programs and projects.


    • New Hire Onboarding:
      • Assist with faculty onboarding
      • Prepare for and meet with new employees to ensure that all pre-hire paperwork is complete
    • New Hire File Management
      • Scanning new hire documents, creating PDFs of new hire documents, auditing new hire folders, checking for consistency in file names, preparing them for digital archive
      • Audit I-9 retention for compliance
    • New Hire Orientation
      • Preparing New Hire Orientation packets
    • Candidate interviews
      • Schedule interviews for candidates with recruiters
    • Reference checks
      • Using department’s standard forms, conduct reference checks for lead candidates
    • Career Fair Preparation
      • Attend various Career Fairs as seen appropriate
    • Student Employment
      • Assisting with processing of Student employees and Volunteer paperwork
    • Other tasks as necessary


    Experience and Educational Background:

    • Working towards completing or recently received a Bachelor’s Degree. Candidates majoring in Business Management, Human Resources management or complementary fields preferred.

    • Organizational Skills

    • Good people skills, friendly and welcoming
    • Experience using Microsoft Office
