Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, founded in 1976 and named for an eminent Supreme Court Justice, is now firmly established as an international and national leader in legal education. The Position:


This position will work collaboratively with library colleagues on a variety of workflow issues, assignments, and projects. Assist with technology projects related to the website, LibGuides, and other library systems. Depending on experience, possible reference hours to assist law students and faculty


This is a temporary position.


e-Resources and Systems Projects

  • Assist library staff with projects, including updating research guides and the Library website using the LibGuides format
  • Assist staff with migration to a new integrated library system. Provide assistance with preparing instruction documents
  • Assist with Digital Commons and projects related to our repository

Reference and Research Services (depending on experience)

  • Provide print and electronic reference service for Anglo-American, international, foreign and comparative law by responding to in-person, telephone, and email inquiries
  • Assist library users with basic access issues regarding the network and applications, such as exam software or the course management system, used in the Law School
  • Consult with the librarians and staff on projects and in completing daily takes

Perform other duties as assigned.


Experience and Educational Background:

  • M.L.S. or substantial completion of M.L.S. is required
  • Relevant technology experience required
  • J.D. or legal reference experience preferred
