POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Cashier/Stock person for C Store

  • Cashier
  • Serve customers
  • Stock products on shelves and in refrigerators
  • Maintain cleanliness 
  • Track what merchandise is needed

 

Shabbat Wait Staff

  • Available to work flexible hours
  • Set up tables, plate and cut up food
  • Serve food, clean up the work area 
  • Must be clean, quick on feet and friendly  

 

Head Wait Staff

  • Prior wait staff experience preferred
  • Available to work flexible hours (Maximum of 10 hours/week)
  • Check that all food from the menu is available, hot and tasty
  • Direct up to 35 wait staff to ensure platters and correct quantities of food are provided to each table
  • Ensure that food given to wait staff is presented attractively, neatly and hot
  • Oversee all wait staff to make sure tasks are being performed correctly and provide guidance to wait staff in a professional and courteous manner
  • Must be customer service oriented

 

Shabbat Mashgiach

  • Must be a current Yeshiva University student with knowledge of kashrut
  • Available to work flexible hours (Maximum of 10 hours/week)
  • Check entire food service operation to ensure kosher standards are being maintained with the highest degree of integrity
  • Turn on ovens as needed
  • Seal all ovens and warmers
  • Check lettuce as needed
  • Make sure that the food being served during the Shabbat meals is served in accordance with kosher dietary laws

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a current student at Yeshiva University
  • Available to work flexible hours
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Able to follow instructions in compliance with City Health code
