The Position

The Maintenance Manager supervises the day to day operation and staff at the assigned campus

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review work orders and assign work to appropriate staff member;
  • Create schedules for the maintenance staff to ensure adequate coverage;
  • Update and review payroll in the web based technology, Kronos;
  • Order supplies and materials to ensure adequate inventory;
  • Manage employees;
  • Interacts daily with students and staff;
  • Interacts regularly with deans and directors;
  • Interacts and coordinates with a variety of University vendors;
  • Budget responsibility is limited to procurement of day-to-day maintenance supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s Degree and 3-5 years of experience managing a diverse maintenance environment or a combination of skills and experience is required;
  • Certification in industrial facilities operations is required and;
  • Knowledge of general union guidelines and operating procedures;
  • Experience in higher education is preferred.
