    The Position:


    The Coordinator of Student Life coordinates activities, programs and functions of the Office of Student Life.


    • Work closely with senior staff to coordinate undergraduate events as well as student club and student council run events, including program development, logistics, correspondence, marketing and promotional activities 
    • Plan, execute and implement innovative programs for Shabbat and Jewish holidays on campus. Work with multiple offices/departments to arrange guests, program themes, and logistical details
    • Recruit, train, monitor, set schedule for and approve time cards of the Shabbat waitstaff
    • Plan, execute, implement and staff innovative service learning programs/missions. Work with multiple offices/departments to arrange program themes, logistical details and develop educational goals
    • Collaborate on programs for undergraduate leadership, time management and communication skills

    • Facilitate undergraduate intercampus communication
    • Facilitate communication between students and staff
    • Develop and monitor budgets for student programs
    • Review project proposals or plans to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures, staffing needs and allotment of available resources to various phases of a project
    • Prepare and distribute reports as well as analyze the data
    • Develop metrics to measure the success of the programs
    • Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor


    Experience and Educational Background:


    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 1-3 years of related experience is required


    Skills and Competencies

    • Advanced Microsoft office skills - Proficiency in Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point
    • Capable in InDesign
    • Mac and PC proficient
    • Technologically competent (website CMS coding)
    • Ability to utilize Google forms, docs and spreadsheets
    • Excellent writing and organizational skills
    • Speaks clearly and expresses self well in one-on-one conversations and groups
    • Develops effective relationships with peers, students and staff
    • Assumes responsibility to ensure issues/concerns will be addressed and monitors them through conclusion
    • Effectively manages own time and resources
    • Seeks to apply technology and innovation to improve efficiency and solve problems
